Our Services

The 1615 Project provides church website design, hosting, and maintenance services for small and mid-size congregations. Our standard package includes a professionally designed website, web hosting, SSL certificate, monthly backups, and ongoing maintenance for a flat monthly rate as described on our programs page.

Payment Terms

Services are billed on a monthly basis. Your subscription begins on the date your service agreement is confirmed and your first payment is processed. Payments are due monthly on the same date each billing cycle. We reserve the right to suspend services if payment is not received within a reasonable grace period.

One-time setup or design fees, if applicable, are due prior to or at the time work begins.

No Long-Term Contracts

We operate on a month-to-month basis. There are no long-term contracts or annual commitments required. You may cancel your service at any time with 30 days written notice.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel your service, you must notify us in writing at least 30 days before your next billing date. You will retain access to your website through the end of your final paid billing period. After cancellation, we will assist you in exporting your website content within a reasonable timeframe upon request.

Domain Ownership

You retain ownership of your domain name at all times. If we register a domain on your behalf, we will transfer it to your ownership upon request. We do not hold your domain name hostage under any circumstances.

Website Ownership and Content

You own all content you provide to us, including text, images, logos, and other materials. By submitting content to us for use on your website, you represent that you have the right to use and publish that content and that it does not infringe on the rights of any third party.

The website design, template, and code we use to build your site are provided as part of your monthly service. If you cancel, you retain the right to export your content but not necessarily the proprietary design framework.

Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during onboarding, reviewing your website before launch and notifying us of any required changes, keeping us informed of updates needed to your church’s information, and ensuring that all content you provide is accurate and does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

Our Responsibilities

We will build and launch your website within the timeframe communicated during onboarding, maintain your site’s hosting, security, and backups on an ongoing basis, respond to maintenance requests and service inquiries in a timely manner, and notify you of any significant changes to our service or pricing with reasonable advance notice.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our services to publish content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to refuse service or remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

The 1615 Project is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or website, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or service interruptions. Our total liability in any matter related to our services is limited to the amount paid by you in the 30 days prior to the claim.

We make reasonable efforts to maintain high uptime and service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance and circumstances outside our control may occasionally result in downtime.

Modifications to Services or Terms

We reserve the right to modify our services, pricing, or these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will provide reasonable advance notice of any material changes. Continued use of our services after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be resolved in good faith between the parties.
